Polished concrete is highly resistant to wear, dust, and moisture, making it perfect for high-traffic areas or environments where cleanliness and durability are key. Whether you're finishing a basement, upgrading a garage, or installing an engineered pad, our polished floors provide a seamless, professional finish that enhances both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
The Process
The Prep:
Every polished concrete floor starts with precise preparation. At PureCraft Concrete, we begin by carefully levelling the base stone and ensuring all elevations are properly set to meet the requirements of the space. This step is crucial for creating a solid, even foundation that will support a smooth, high-quality finish. Proper prep ensures long-term performance and eliminates potential issues down the line, setting the stage for a flawless polished floor.
The Pour:
Once the base is prepped, we move into the pour. Our team expertly lays the concrete, spreading and leveling it with precision to achieve a flat, even surface across the entire area. Attention to detail is key during this phase, as a consistent pour is essential for a successful polish later on. We make sure the slab is poured to the correct thickness and grade, ready for a perfect finish.
The Finish:
After the pour, we focus on finishing the concrete to perfection. All edges are hand-worked to ensure they are smooth and properly formed. We then run a power trowel over the entire surface multiple times, bringing the cream to the top and refining the finish. This process removes any imperfections and ensures the floor is smooth, level, and free of bumps, dips, or scabbing. The result is a dense, polished-ready surface that’s both functional and visually striking.
